The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup was one of the biggest women's sporting events in recent times and drew unprecedented attendance and global viewership. I worked with the Volunteer and Workforce team as a volunteer management intern to deliver the volunteer program in Melbourne.

I helped manage 465 volunteers on Rosterfy and was responsible for communicating updates to training, match day shifts, guiding them through the accreditation process, and uniform collection to ensure a smooth volunteer experience. I then got to work with the accreditation and pre-match ceremonies teams during the tournament.

 

This was the first global event I got to work on and is what sparked my interest for working at major sporting events.
