Hockey Australia is the national governing body for hockey in Australia, responsible for growing the game at both grassroots and elite levels through its network of member state organisations.

As Event Management Intern in the Events team, I contributed to the administrative delivery of national hockey competitions. My role involved both policy work and database management, giving me exposure to the behind-the-scenes operational infrastructure that underpins national sport competition delivery.

A key piece of work was drafting the officials' travel and reimbursement policy, a document used to guide and standardise how officials are supported across competitions. I also built out the 2025 competitions schedule and managed player and official databases, team entries, and competition schedules across two industry platforms, AltiusRT and revolutioniseSPORT.
